8:30pm - The Solipsistics
The Solipsistics are back, and yes — they still believe the world revolves around them. Making beautiful music about terrible feelings since the late ’90s, they’re here to prove that existential dread sounds better with a catchy piano hook. Still brooding, still funny, still dangerously catchy.
9:30pm - Bean
Bean was a power-pop group from the early 90s, most famous for sharing a split 7” on Flipside with a then-unknown Beck. The band featured Steve Moramarco who went on to form The Abe Lincoln Story and later Superbean and Gwynne Kahn, pioneering garage rock bassist/keyboardist who played in such bands as The Leaving Trains, The Negro Problem, The Pandoras, Mad Monster Party, and Backstage Pass. They also released a 7” on Dionysus before splitting up. Now reformed 35 years later, they are playing a string of shows in the LA area.
10:30pm - the Outset
The Outset is a psychedelic rock and roll music group from Los Angeles.
